June, 2009

Summer is a great time to be in Burlington.  The Discover Jazz Festival is underway and the weather is great.  Recent highlights for me include recording with The Gordon Stone Band at The Barn and playing with a bunch of great musicians including The Christopher Perterman Quintet, Prydein, Mellow Yellow, Left Ear Trio, and others.  In the coming weeks I'll be recording more with Fragile Zoe, travelling to Ohio with Prydein and playing local shows with Amber deLaurentis, CPQ, Myra Flynn (Check out Myra's CD Release Party at Flynnspace on June 20th), Mellow Yellow, Prydein, The Dixie Six, Dave Keller and more.  Please take a look at the gigs page for the full story.  Thanks for visiting my site and I'd love to hear from you!

April, 2009

The tour to Yaroslavl, Russia with the Chris Peterman Quintet was great.  I really enjoyed the shows and late-night jams.  I became good friends with the guys in the group: Chris Peterman, John Rivers, Geoff Kim and Matt Wright.  The folks at the festival and the nearby Jazz Center treated us really well and we hope to see them again sometime.  Before long, I hope to put some of the audio recording and some photos of the tour on this site, so please check back!  Also, we will be playing at Halvorson's on April 10th at 7:00 so please come if you can.  Now its April already and I'm looking forward to hitting the studio with Gordon Stone in the next few weeks to work on a Gordon Stone Band record featuring some horn players and African drummers.  I've also got some other local shows coming up so take a look at the gigs page and I hope to see you soon-

I just updated the gigs page, please check it out.  In the coming months I'll be doing some travelling with Johnny A. as well as some local shows.  In other news, Fragile Zoe recorded a great sounding demo at Joe Capps' sutdio.  Stay tuned for dates!  I'm also working with a new group, The Chris Peterman Band, and we have been invited by the Burlington/Yaroslavl Sister Cities Program to play at the Jazz Over The Volga Festival in Yaroslavl, Russia in March.  Its really been fun playing with these guys, come check us out on the 12th of February if you can.  Please get in touch, I'd love to hear from you-
